Small Animal Vaccinations

Vaccination protocol

Kittens:
Kittens should be vaccinated at 8 weeks, 12 weeks and 16 weeks. These protect your kitten from feline respiratory diseases and feline leukemia until one year of age. At 16 weeks a Rabies vaccination should be given. This protects your cat until it is one year of age.

Adult Cats:
Vaccinations against feline respiratory diseases and feline leukemia are highly recommended on an annual basis for all adult cats. Rabies vaccinations should be boosted every 3 years after the 1st yearly booster.

Puppies:
Puppies should be vaccinated at 8 weeks, 12 weeks and 16 weeks. These protect you pup from Distemper and Parvo virus until he/she is 1 year old. At 16 weeks a Rabies vaccination is recommended. This protects for one year.

Adult dogs:
A yearly vaccination against Distemper and parvo virus is recommended for all adult dogs. A Bordetella vaccination against Kennel Cough should be given every 6 months if the dog is boarded or around other dogs. Rabies vaccination should be boosted every 3 years after the 1st booster.
